Due to its technical characteristics, the varnish of the UR-231 series allows you to create a high-quality smooth coating, quite durable and elastic.
Composition
According to TU 6 21 14 90, this semi-finished varnish includes oils (tung, linseed) resins (alkyd and epoxy) and hardener. The last of these components is a 70% solution of urethane DGU in cyclohexanone.
The solution of components UR-231 is characterized by uniformity and transparency. It should not contain mechanical impurities.
to contents ↑The purpose of the paintwork
UR-231 is used for protection against rusting of printing units and all kinds of metal products. Varnished surfaces operate in a variety of weather conditions: cold, temperate and even tropical climates. A peculiarity of the varnish is the wide temperature range of operation of the products processed by it. Temperatures from 60 degrees below zero to 120 degrees above zero are allowed. The technical parameters of the varnish determine the level of heat resistance according to category E (according to GOST 8865).
With the help of varnish, they carry out not only anti-corrosion measures, but also improve the electrical insulation of the surface. A film having dielectric properties appears on the surface.
Paint and varnish material of the UR-231 type is characterized by a wide spectrum of action. It is used for finishing the internal parts of the building, as well as surfaces on canopies or facades.
After the surface dries, an elastic coating forms with a glossy sheen. The coating has good adhesive properties (adhesion to other surfaces or paints). The coating formed by UR-231 is resistant to the negative effects of alcohol-nephras composition.
to contents ↑Preparatory process and application
Before using the semi-finished product must be prepared. To make it sufficiently viscous, xylene and butyl acetate are added in a ratio of four to one. It is important to use the varnish in a timely manner (no later than 5 hours), otherwise it will lose performance.
The main condition for quick drying of the surface is a suitable temperature regime. At room temperature, the varnish fully sets in 8-9 hours.
The paint composition is applied in various ways, including application by brush, roller or spray. For industrial parts, the main varnishing methods are dipping and filling. In the case of dipping, centrifugation is subsequently carried out. The processed surfaces - galvanization, aluminum, cadmium steel.
Note! The use of varnish for steel processing requires priming the surface.
The number and thickness of the layers depend on the expected effect of varnishing of the metal. Most often we are talking about 3 or 4 layers of paint material.
to contents ↑Storage and transportation
UR-231 is packaged in tin containers. You can buy varnish in large containers (15, 25 silt 57 kilograms) or in small containers (from 800 grams to 2.8 kilograms).
Store paint in a hermetically sealed container. Temperature conditions for storage: from minus 40 to plus 40 degrees. The maximum shelf life of the varnish is 1 year from the date of production.
Attention! Varnish is a flammable substance, therefore it is necessary to adhere to fire safety standards.
Do not place jars of material near the fire. All work is carried out only in carefully ventilated rooms. Spraying tools should be grounded. The surfaces are painted in special clothing and goggles.
